Four Tennessee cities ranked in the top 30 for Bible-minded cities according to a ranking by the American Bible Society.Birmingham, Ala., topped the list while Chattanooga, Tenn., came in at number two.Knoxville finished 11th, which is the first time the city has dropped out of the top ten. In 2013, the same study named Knoxville as that year's most bible-minded U.S. city.Meanwhile, Nashville ranked 14th this year and Memphis snagged the 27th spot.The data is based on telephone and online interviews of 62,896 adults over a 10-year period, ending in August 2014.Respondents who reported reading the Bible within the past seven days and who agreed strongly in the accuracy of the Bible were classified as 'Bible Minded.'The American Bible Society found that only 27 percent of Americans are bible-minded.Five most Bible-minded cities in the United States according to the ranking:1.
