No comment, lawyers advise 8 who received RM2.6 million payout – Bernama


Former Selangor menteri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's payment to his former staff, including ex-chief executive officer of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) Faekah Husin (standing right) is now subject of a suit. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 19, 2015.Eight former officers of ex-Selangor menteri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim have been advised not to issue a statement related to the return of severance payments worth RM2.6 million which they had previously received.Former chief executive officer of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) Faekah Husin said lawyers from the law firm Messrs Bon & Associates which they had appointed had advised them from doing so to avoid any prejudice in the matter."We have appointed Messrs Bon & Associates to reply to the state government's letter on the return of severance payment."The law firm will also receive all information, including documents relating to the payment of the severance pay to us," she said in a statement through WhatsApp today.On January16, Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali was reported to have said that the state government would take further action against the eight former MBI officers possibly this week relating to the payment of the severance pay.He said the state government would work out the follow-up action after the deadline given to them for the return of the money expired today.Azmin had earlier instructed all eight to return their severance payment as he claimed that there were several transgressions regarding the procedure and financial rules. – Bernama, January 19, 2015.
